Welcome to Wakefield Thornes

Welcome to Wakefield Thornes Cricket Club.

We run 3 Senior Teams playing in the:

- Central Yorkshire Premier League
- Central Yorkshire League - 1st Division
- Pontefract Cricket League

In 2012 we will also be running a development team playing in the Mid Yorkshire Sunday Cricket League.

We have a thriving and successful junior section with teams at Under 9's, 11's, 13's 15's and 17's who play in the Heavy Woollen Junior Cricket League and the Leeds Junior Cricket League. We also run junior winter coaching programmes and school holiday cricket coaching and activities.

The Club has an excellent social programme throughout the year which for the last few years has culminated in a major Charity Fundraising Day with Macmillan Cancer and the Wakefield Hospice.

We are always delighted to welcome new members, both junior and senior in any capacity - playing, coaching, volunteering, spectating and especially socialising!
